Drilling and Exploration (PTY) LTD delivers the services of drilling for
clients such as Government, Farming, Mining, Developers, Land owners and
Domestic. Our aim is to service all our clients’ with their drilling needs.
With our
teams experience and equipment we are able to assist or clients with a
professional service and deliver a provisional drilling solution.
We drill
all over Botswana to assist our clients with their drilling needs. Our main
office is located in Gaborone and have shuttle sites in Mahalaphy and Tswaneng.
With the demand for water due to new developments or failing infrastructure the demand for water delivery is increasing by the day. The best solution for having a reliable source of water will be to drill a borehole for a sustainable water source managed by yourself.
Most of our clients will be farmers, new developments or mining companies that will require the use of water for their operations. With the increase in demand and infrastructure failing government can’t always keep up with the demand so domestic residents also have the need for cheaper and reliable water source.
In order to find the ground water a Geological
survey will be done to determine the best area to drill.
The surveyor will use
different techniques to establish the geological ground conditions to find the
right area for the drilling.
Once the best location have been identified the
driller will be notified and a booking can be made.
Drilling Equipment Mobilization
Once the client accepts the quote and the payment
have been settled the drilling equipment will be mobilized to the client’s site
from our operations.
Drilling and Installation
Upon reaching the site, our drill team locates the
area identified by the surveyor and set up the equipment accordingly.
The machine uses a bit and a hammer to penetrate
the ground and rods which further push the head of the drill towards the
ground.
The penetration continues until the drill reaches the required depth. The drill usually passes through a water-bearing formation as it is drilling. A casing of the borehole is usually done after the required depth is reached.
Testing
This stage is crucial as it conducts a chemical
analysis of the water to determine if it is suitability for use. This is
usually a 24-hour process. With this process we use an Aquifer Pump Test Unit.
With this process we will test the quality and reliability of the hole.
When the client requires that we develop the hole
with the installation of the pump and pipes there is different options to
consider.
The different options of developing the hole:

Electrical pump. (manual or auto start)
·
Solar pump system
·
Windmill system
·
Hand pump system
Client will have a piece of mind installation done
by a professional pump installer.
Water Collection
As per the client requests, we can also put up steel/plastic tanks or reservoirs to collect the water from the hole.
Clients
have the option of raising the tanks to have more pressure delivered or by
installing a pressure pump and we can assist with this matter.
